In order to support Hong Kong as a major international shipping center and as a hub port for China and world trade, Marine Department of HKSARG launched the Electronic Business System (eBS) in late 2003 to provide a new means for the shipping agents and citizens to handle port formalities and other shipping related activities in contrast to the conventional counter services.

What is Electronic Business System Phase 2?

Electronic Business System Phase 2 (eBS2) is the enhanced version of existing Marine Department Electronic Business System aiming to provide a one-stop solution to simplify and speed up the submission and processing of port formalities without incurring additional charge to the shipping agents and companies. The new system provides many new features such as auto-approval of application, self printing of permit / certificate, autopay, and online application status enquiry anytime anywhere. The new system also covers formalities required by the Immigration Department and Department of Health.

How to join?

Interested user shall submit the completed registration form together with the supporting documents to the Marine Department. For details, please refer to the "GUIDANCE NOTES FOR eBS USER REGISTRATION" of the eBS2 registration form.

Arrangement for existing eBS User

As eBS2 will introduce a number of new services, existing eBS users are required to make a fresh registration in eBS2 to enjoy the new services.
